I first spotted the women's Frye Harness 15R boot a couple of months ago as a newer addition to the Frye collection, and it seemed like a step back into time in terms of the general looks and style. They are designed after boots worn quite some time ago and are a distinct reminder of early American culture - and the early history of the Frye Boots company.
Looks of the 15R Harness Boot: Generally I would describe these boots as being "high and thin". They are 15" in height from the arch of the foot to the top of the shaft, while having an approximately 14 ½" circumference at the opening of the boot. They have a seriously rugged appearance with weathered leather - and with the harness strap and ring, they maintain not only a little piece of history but are very much in style.
How to wear them: Due to the structure of the boot, these are easily worn with several different types of outfits. Wearing them with jeans is a some "must", but they look with skirts and certain types of clothes and fabulous. They are worn very well with a longer, free-flowing skirt, and even if they have a vintage look, you can really hone an ensemble.
The colors for the start: the Frye Harness 15R Boot been written (in this letter) in a chocolate brown vintage leather and black. Other colors are available over time - these boots are something new to the Fryecollection and normally when popularity increases so does variety.
The women's Frye Harness 15R boots have received some very nice remarks in consumer reviews - if you think you might like a new (but historic) style, you should give these boots a try! You'd be hard pressed to find any women's boots that surpassed the quality or unique look with the 15R.
